Paper tigers shouldn't make threats.

The administration leaked threats through the German media we're contemplating an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. For a whole host of practical reasons that's not doable. For one thing non of Iran's neighbors are that insane to risk going to war. Iran's no paper tiger as she showed by absorbing massive material and human losses to repulse the Iraq invasion in the early 1980s.

The real risk of making empty threats is to give the Iranian government weakened by serious domestic problems an excuse to launch a missile strike on Israel and Europe. Weak governments love the war excuse to get people to rally around the flag.

I recommend lifting all sanctions and restoring diplomatic relations with Iran. With normal trade ties the ayatollahs would soon be out on their ears once "Desperate Housewives" and "The L-Word" became stables on Iranian television!
