Why we're losing in Iraq.

Be happy to (delete you from my cc list).

Allow me this last observation. I think America is where the Soviet Union was in 1980. Like the Russians in Afghanistan, we're using Iraq to distract the public from addressing serious problems the solutions to which would require some very UN-PC thinking. Unless we put our thinking caps on PDQ we could vanish quite quickly into the mists of history as did the Aztecs, Incas, Troy and the Soviet Union. All I'm doing is asking impertinent questions. Troy might have made it had its leadership listened to the one about the dangers of Greeks bearing gifts.

Do you consider yourself a "Romantic" in the sense of how General Patton had considered himself one. Or perhaps in the sense that Theodore Roosevelt was considered to be one prior to his having lost his son to battle?
He became much different after that took place.
